Are you a Prospective Surrey Athlete for English Schools Championships ?

All athletes who are aiming to be selected to represent their County at the National Championships are asked to register their details online now. This will ensure that your name is spelt correctly in the programme, on teeshirts, in the results and on TV. It also gives you the opportunity to provide useful information for TV commentators so that they will have something to say about you if you make it through to the Finals. In addition, you will really help your County Team Managers since they won't have to type in all your details themselves when they make their team entries.

If you registered last year, you still need to register again this year - information is not kept from 2011, as your information will change year by year, at the very least, we'd expect your PB's to be different!

You need to look on the English Schools website (esaa.net) Home page for the link to do this. Make sure you have your school Post Code to hand.

Senior Athletes -Selection for English Schools T&F Championships

Should you be running in the Aviva World Under 20 Trials at Bedford on June 16/17, you may submit your performance in this meeting, or any other achieved THIS season for selection consideration if it is Entry Standard or above . All other athletes are expected to compete on June 16th.

Please find below the table of information that sets out the District Championships and the contact to make if you are at a FE College.

If you are at school, and think you should be representing your school in the Distrcict Championships, go and speak to your PE Department.

The only exception that prevents you from competing on June 16th is if you are competing in the Aviva Under 20 World Trials at Bedford. Should this be you, and you perform well, please let us know sometime over the weekend on the e mail address above.

Advance Notice - The closing date for District Entries into our Championships is Tuesday May 29th.

Information has been sent to District Secretaries.

Athletes & Coaches - You cannot enter these Schools Championships as an individual. Your District compiles the team to compete. If you are in any doubt, and think you have been overlooked, please contact your school PE Department well in advance. Most Districts have their own Championships in May, others have submissions to compile their teams on performances. Do your research, and find out which one applies to you.

You MUST compete on June 16th to be considered for the Surrey Team.

Senior Age Group students in 6th Form Colleges and FE Colleges .If there is nobody in your College who coordinates athletics, find out who your District T&F Secretary / Team Manager is.
