In certain circumstances, a particular subject set may require a different appointment length to that set as the default. Individual set appointment lengths can be only edited before booking has opened. Appointment lengths cannot be set to a time shorter than the default for the session, you will need to set the default appointment length to the shortest appointment time, and then edit individual sets to a longer time as necessary.

If a parent is unable to book appointments for a Parents’ Evening session, a PE administrator can book for them on their behalf to ensure they do not miss out on their preferred appointment times.

1. Ensure you are logged into the Staff Message Centre.

2. Click ‘Booking’ in the Parents’ Evening Zone, and click ‘Students’ in the left-hand menu.

The Parents’ Evening ‘export’ function provides a schedule summary for each session in a spreadsheet format, giving administrators an easy to view a guide of whose parents are seeing which teacher at what time. Appointment summaries in PDF format are still available to download via the ‘Booking’ pages; however, the session export gives administrators an easy to read an outline of the evening’s appointments.

Enabling Head Start Booking for Parents Evening sessions allows some parents the opportunity to book their appointments before general booking has opened.  Certain circumstances may arise in which not all parents will be able to book their appointments when general booking opens, in such cases, they can be selected for Head Start Booking, and can book their appointments before other parents.
